Babe Ruth Kimono
for the Sports Legend Museum, Baltimore, USA
Here is the Imperial Hotel kimono given to Babe Ruth in 1939 in Tokyo to honor the All Stars tour to Japan. It was barely salvageable when it first came to the studio. Treatment included cleaning, disassembly and reassembly, encapsulation of weak and damaged areas...it is now on display at the Sports Legend Museum.
