Julia and her brother with their pet dog posed on a decorative ceramic stand inside the Borneo Company Compound house, likely in 1960s.

Julia I am puzzled by this photo It’s quite like our living room in Borneo Compound Chiangmai where of course we Dunlops were your neighbours and close friends for at least three years. The elephant is quite like the one your dad brought to us from Vietnam and the dog is it real or a statue? This all brings back the Shangrila experience that living in our Compound was back at the end of the sixties. Since Margaret died just before last Xmas I have stayed mainly with Laura, who was born in Chiangmai, Barbara now in Madrid and Currently with Joyce since 29.2.20 in Singapore. Your lovely story reminded me of those happy times and made me wonder how you are all doing We are well in Singapore and I am due to fly home on 13.7.20 Remember Barbara aged 4 christened our elephant Frisky. She still has pride of place in our Lenzie living room. Love to you all Let’s hope we can meet again sometime.
